Healings come to Pune

Last year, Milan, a coworker of AO India, and his wife Priya were sent to do church planting in Pune. Pune is located on the west coast of India, 170 kms. south of Mumbai. Just last week we received a report from our leader in India.

"On 16 December 2006, Priya had visited the hospital at Pune and came across a Nepalese lady, who was hospitalized with a suspected cancerous tumor behind her ear. She was a widow and her husband had died of cancer too. The lady was going to be operated on the next day. During their conversation Priya said to her that if she believed in Jesus Christ then there would be no need for the operation. After Priya prayed for the lady, she gave her a contact phone number and left. The next day early in the morning, the phone rang and the good news was that the lady was released from the hospital as the tumor burst out of itself that night and she was healed!

As a result, the lady's only child, her parents and relatives all came to the Lord. A fellowship group was started with around 30 - 40 people attending every week, led by Milan and Priya.

This little fellowship has a vision to reach out to the people in this city. A "Healing Crusade" is being organized for 4-6 April 2007. They are expecting 800 people to attend, and asking God for miracles, healings and at least 100 people to give their lives to Jesus Christ. Pastor Lucky, AO India's Director will be traveling to Pune on March 28 to help the team prepare, and to speak in the meetings. He is asking for your prayers that God will come in His love and power to encounter the people in Pune.
