God is Opening the Door for His Word to Spread
During wintertime, another evangelism trip was made to Bayankhongor Province, Mongolia. As the severe cold doesn’t allow the nomads to move around during winter, they stay in their homes and keep themselves warm.
So our Mongolian team took advantage of this opportunity to visit our daughter churches to teach and encourage these young leaders and Christians. And a small team of four was gathered together and they headed to the nomadic villages.
After a six-hour trip they arrived at Zag village where team leader, Badmaa, (second from right) had to start preaching straight away, since everyone had heard of their visit and had already gathered in a small Ger. He spoke on the shepherding heart of Jesus and many were hungry to receive the teaching. There was an hour’s break, and then they had to move to a bigger hall in the village since the Ger was too small to contain the number of people who kept coming. It was already evening and power is only supplied between 7 p.m. and 11p.m. Another team member shared his testimony then Badmaa preached again until the power went off.
The hall was very cold since it hadn’t been used for a long time, it was not much warmer than the outside temperature of –25 degrees Celsius. But there were about 80 people who were hungry for God’s Word and patiently listened in the bitter cold.
In this way they spent a whole week traveling and preaching; teaching in the churches and sharing the gospel with town mayors and government officials in every village they visited.
